Jessica Garcia, M.A.
Jessica Garcia has been in the educational field for 13 years. She has a Masters in Educational Leadership. She has served as a classroom teacher in Michigan and California, a middle school instructional coach in Los Angeles, a lead teacher for interdisciplinary curriculum and as an administrator. She began her journey in education as an intern through the University of Michigan and served communities in Ann Arbor and Detroit. She then moved to California and fell in love with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. She has worked within that program for the duration of her educational career.
Jessica returned home in 2013 and worked as one of the founding members of WIMA in Ypsilanti Community Schools. She is currently the associate principal and Middle Years program coordinator at Washtenaw International Middle Academy. Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Sean and Reese. She loves a good challenge in any form and can be found in the woods and water in her free time.
